Help the Needy Inc. is a tax exempt charitable organization established on November 25, 2015 in Chicago. The organization is a support to hospitals, orphanages, widows, homeless, and young people out of school especially girls in Ivory Coast and other developing countries located in Africa through the means of medical supplies and care, education, rehabilitation and reinsertion programs.
Our History
Help the Needy Inc. was founded by Stephanie Bailo, a graduate from Quinlan School of Business: Loyola University of Chicago, Illinois. She lost her father at an early age. Unlike Stephanie, some children in Ivory Coast or developing countries do not have the chance to be raised by their mother or father who can care for them. Per the World Bank report, the estimated share of the population living below the poverty line is around 49%. So, it is difficult for some families to put their children to school. In addition, according to the report of Ivorian Ministry of Education, only 54.2% completed their school year in 2014. But, 4 out of 10 girls were unable to finish due to lack of support. Therefore, Stephanie created this organization in order to help the young girls, the homeless, and orphans through education, medical care, rehabilitation and social reinsertion.
